I love the food at Grimaldis. I visit NYC twice a year, and Grimaldi's is on the top of the list of places to go eat. I took some friends over and the loved the food. The pizza is loaded with toppings and so cheesy, their Greek salad with feta is a great starter salad. Their Calzone is huge, enough for like 3 - 4 persons, and their cheesecake desserts (they have seasonal flavors) are for me - the best cheesecake I have tried. The servers are knowledgeable of their food items and always offer a very warm service. I wanted to bring a Calzone back home (West Coast) and the girl went out of her way to cut it and wrap it up nice and tight so that It would survive the trip. You gotta try this place....especially in the winter season where the building feels cozy and warm. See ya January 2027 Grimaldis 👏😉

We ordered a Margherita pizza and a mixed pizza, and both were delicious. The food was excellent, and the restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is that our order took a long time to arrive. However, the waitress apologized several times for the delay, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience. I really enjoyed the pizza and would definitely recommend this place.

Grimaldi's sits right under the Brooklyn Bridge in DUMBO, which already puts it in one of the better spots in New York before you even talk about the food. The red-and-white gingham tablecloths, wine bottle chandeliers, black-and-white photographs on the walls, jukebox in the corner, it all feels like it has been exactly this way for a long time, because it more or less has. The coal-fired brick oven is visible from the dining room and the pies come out with a char on the underside that gas ovens simply cannot replicate. The plain Margherita is the place to start and also where the kitchen has the least to hide behind. Fresh handmade mozzarella, house sauce made from a recipe passed down through generations, and dough prepared fresh daily. The crust has a slight chew toward the center and a proper crunch at the edge, with char marks from the coal fire that add a subtle smokiness to the whole thing. We also did a pepperoni pie and a white pizza with garlic, pesto, mushrooms, and white onion, which was the table's favorite. The cannoli showed up for dessert, fried pastry shell, sweet ricotta filling, chocolate chips, and that's about all it needed to be. They don't serve slices here,

Great service and wonderful atmosphere from n the building. Love the taste of the coal fired thin crust pizza. Crust could’ve been a tad more crunchy. Overall I would recommend stopping in and grabbing a pizza for lunch or dinner.

We went on a Tuesday evening and got in about 5:15p with no wait on the third floor. Great vibe up there. We started with the bruschetta trio and it was pretty good. Definitely not the best bruschetta I’ve ever had but still pretty solid. We then had the margherita pizza and it was really good. Nice coal-fired taste. Definitely a 5⭐️ overall experience due to the historic vibes and the good food. Service was solid too and pretty fast.
